TruMint is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). TruMint's tax calculation tools — including Capital Gains Tax (CGT) estimates, Income Tax summaries, and Self Assessment pre-population — are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any tax calculation. Tax law is complex and subject to change; figures produced by this platform may not reflect your full tax position.

You remain solely responsible for ensuring your HMRC Self Assessment is accurate and submitted on time. We strongly recommend you verify all figures with a qualified accountant or tax adviser before filing. TruMint accepts no liability whatsoever for errors in tax filings submitted to HMRC or any other tax authority, for penalties, interest charges, or other consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete tax information generated by this platform.

5. Data Security & Breach

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal and financial data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your account, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law (including UK GDPR), but TruMint accepts no liability for losses, damages, or harm arising from unauthorised access to, disclosure of, or destruction of your data.

6. Third-Party Services

TruMint connects to third-party services (including Plaid for bank and broker data aggregation). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of data provided by these services, or for any outages or errors on their part. Your use of third-party integrations is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data Use & Privacy

By using TruMint you consent to the collection and processing of your personal and financial data as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with service providers necessary to operate the platform (e.g. Firebase, Plaid) under appropriate data processing agreements.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not use TruMint to process data belonging to third parties without their consent. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the platform without our written permission. Any use of the platform for unlawful purposes is strictly prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TruMint, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) this platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or applicable law. You may delete your account at any time via account settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of TruMint after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
